"Here, the grass is greener..." One star insists in a shaky voice to the other settlers who are looking away from the meadows. They are all gazing at the canyon eating up the hill.
"It's time to move away before we get swallowed into the dark", another star warns.
This unusual meeting gathers all big and small stars under the banner of fear causing them to glow like crazy lights.
"Yes... We should all move... But not away.. We should move higher" comes the hoarse voice of the earliest settler. He continues, " The land is breathing new life. It is growing. We were all chosen by the Calling to settle here. But now the choice is ours; either to move away and abandon the Calling or to stay and fulfill our destiny. The Calling cannot be wrong. I believe it and I will stay."
Whispers of hesitation ripples among the stars. Early settlers are the strongest believers of the Calling. They dwell the heights. They have seen the darkening canyon as everybody else, but felt the hill rising as well. Along the course of time, the hill have risen so high that now it stands highest of all the surrounding formations. It seems that their elevated perspective makes it clearer for them to adhere to the Calling. They have always praised the presence of the canyon and cherished its energy that breathed into the hill and the meadows. It is true that they know nothing of the nature of the canyon as scouts repeatedly fails to enter its flux. All they know is how the canyon appears to them, as a dark crack in the vast landscape drawing energy from space or another dimension... And it is enough to convince them to stay.
"What if this energy swallows the whole hill up?" Asks one of many concerned stars.
The earliest settler answers in utmost confidence
"Then it is what is meant to be."
What will your choice be if you were one of the stars?
